THE PERINATAL WELLNESS PRACTICE

“Every mother deserves the chance to flourish

About me

I am a chartered counselling psychologist with 14 years experience in the mental health and psychotherapy field. I have worked extensively as a therapist offering support to women and mothers who are experiencing a range of mental health difficulties with a particular focus on perinatal mental health. My work also involves delivering perinatal wellness webinars, workshops, and facilitating psychoeducation and therapeutic groups on developing emotional resillience. I am also experienced in offering clinical supervision to trainee psychologists to help them develop as autonomous practitioners. My services also extend to working as a lived experience wellbeing consultant for experts by experience who chose to bravely share their stories at conferences and other maternal health events to ensure trauma informed care.

Outside of the above, I am also extremely passionate about tackling health inequalities in maternity and mental health services for mothers from ethnic minority backgrounds through outreach work, service audit and evaluation and contributing to policy development to address the disparities seen in the perinatal field.
